Castriciani and Sicilian sticks are artisanal biscuits with an elongated shape, crunchy, crumbly and lactose-free . Both of ancient tradition, Castriciani marry the flavour of fennel seeds in the best way, the recipe of which dates back to the Poor Clare nuns. of the Monastery of S. Maria degli Angeli in Castroreale. The sticks, on the other hand, are made with the same dough but unlike the first ones, they have the tasty note given by the sesame seeds .
